Holistic LifeArt Counseling and Coaching Services
Through over 3o years of working with others, Martha has developed a broad range of holistic LifeArt counseling and coaching services to help others transform their emotional, psychological and existential pain to live more expansive, fulfilling lives.
By identifying your specific needs, aspirations and talents, she can offer a tailored, “whole person” approach that will help you work through even the most difficult and painful situations, and develop the respect and love for yourself and others that you need to create a more deeply fulfilling life.
Feelings of anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, problems with addictions, as well as struggles with family members, intimate relationships, and relationships in general often stem from deep causes that can also be intergenerational.
For this reason, a holistic approach – one that helps you learn to look at yourself as a “whole person”, mind, body, spirit, relationships, work, finances, etc. – that is connected to broader realities such as families, culture, work environments, and to care for each aspect as an essential part of the Whole that you are, help develop tools that will serve you to build a life that finally seems to “fit”.
It is not so much about finding out what is “wrong” with you, or striving for some kind of homeostatic perfection. It is about finding out what parts of you and your life need loving attention so they can be healed of old wounds, and learning new attitudes and tools that increase your ability to care for yourself and take full ownership of your life.
Taking ownership of your life, knowing that you have purpose, meaning and value, that you are worthy of love and support exactly as you are, is an act of existential creativity, aka LifeArt, which helps you find a sense of groundedness and agency that brings deep inner peace, and increasing freedom to enjoy your life and your relationships with others.
This also applies also to your career / business and financial spheres, as the ways in which we earn a living and manage our time and our finances have a direct affect on our general wellbeing. Martha’s long experience as a self-employed person as a musician, educator, and counselor / coach have allowed her to develop important tools for building a prosperous and sustainable work-life and financial balance, even for those who are self-employed in the helping and creative professions.
If we are not aligned with our true talents and desires, or have not learned the basic tools of financial literacy (and many people do not learn these tools at home or at school), it can be very difficult to achieve the kind of material comfort and prosperity we need to be able to truly live in harmony with ourselves and others.
Check out the pages below, which briefly describe the specific types of services that Martha can offer to guide you towards new horizons in your inner life, your relationships with others in both the personal and the professional spheres, your work /career and your relationship with money.
